SIAMS

Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools

In all Church of England Schools an OFSTED inspection is complemented by a visit from the SIAMS inspector.

The purpose of the SIAMS inspection is to judge the school’s effectiveness as a Church of England school and to judge whether the school is living up to its foundation as a church school and is enabling pupils and adults to flourish.

There are six key areas for inspections to focus on.
